
CN EMD SW8 & SW900 Units

"All shots in major yards were done with a signed release and accompanied
by a friend who is a CN employee. CN today has a 'No-Tolerance' policy to
tresspassing; so NEVER try to enter a CN yard to take photos!"

SW8 7171 in the older scheme, from series 7150-7183 built in 1951, all retired by 1989.

SW8 7179 in the newer paint scheme.

SW900 7252 older scheme, from series 7200 - 7261.
Besides having 100 HP more than an SW8 the only external
difference is the number of louvres on the battery box (behind the cab).
5 louvres for an SW900, 6 louvres for an SW8.

SW900m 404 & 405, renumbered from 7200's in the 80's, all are now retired.
