CP S2 7013. The oldest CP alco I ever photographed, from series
7010-7064 built by Alco Schenectady 5 years before MLW built their
1st S2 for the CP! This unit was built in 1943 and has horizontal instead of
vertical radiator shutters which occured for a very brief time in S2 production.

CP S2 7098. Built in 1949 by Alco from series 7096-7098, the last U.S. switchers
for the CPR. The 7098 spent almost its entire career at St Johnsbury, Vermont.

CP S2 7098 again. Retired at Newport. Vt. The Alco had been re-trucked with
standard AAR type 'A' switcher trucks making it look like an S4. The 'Blunt' Alco
trucks had worn out. Many CP S2's were re-trucked to extend their service lives.
