Two of the Air Force SW8s that were used for the
Titan Rocket Program at Cape Canaveral, FL. These two SW8s (2000 & 2007)
are at the NASA Railroad Maintenance Shop in this photo being readied
for transit to Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, UT. With the launch of the
last Titan Rocket this summer and the end of the program, the Air Force
had no further need for these switchers at Cape Canaveral. The Air Force
still retains one SW8 there but has not yet determined its future.
