EMC SW1

    Introduced in 1939, along with the NW2, as the first of the new generation of Electro-Motive
    switcher models featuring the 567 series diesel engine. Production was suspended in 1942 by
    the War Production Board. When production resumed in 1945 the SW1 was powered by the
    567A engine.
