Alco SSB9
The SSB9 was a cow/calf version of the S6, 2 pairs was built for
the Oliver Iron Mining RR, no.1217 & 1218.

History
no.1217A
- to USS-Minntac Div. Virginia Minnesota,
- to USS-Wellington Coal Prep. Plant, Wellington Utah,
- to Coalplex International, Wellington Utah.
Currently
1217A is sitting derelict on the desert at the site of the old Columbia/USS wash plant site.
The locomotive has a damaged radiator.
The two B's and 1218A went to a coal prep plant in Corbin, KY.
The prep plant is located just east of the CSX yard.
They were still there, stored inside, in August 98. The plant is closed.
