US Navy VO1000 "That unit is sitting on an abandoned coal company siding on the LV mainline in South Plainfield, NJ. This unit and the water car just showed up and then left."

First 7872 DS4-4-660 c/n 73807, b/d 11/48 - built as PRR 9212 - renumbered 7872 - reported cut up just after the merger (February 1, 1968)

Second 7872 DS4-4-660 c/n 73637, b/d 8/48 - built as PRR 9115 - renumbered 7815 - became PC 7815 then renumbered 7872

CB&Q or BRC This is a touched-up Baldwin photo from a 1945 sales brochure. I wonder if anyone has seen the builder's photo from which it was made.
